Is it now confirmed. The electricity tariffs will be up by another 15% for Peninsular Malaysia while 17% for Sabah and Labuan starting 1st of January 2014 according to Datuk Dr Maximus Johnity Ongkili. The increased has been expected as reduction on fuel subsidy to power producers in Malaysia.
Prices are no effected in Sarawak while the existing 10% discounts for schools, religious places and welfare homes will be maintained.
